This branch focuses on B2B business and the retail customers. To strengthen their legal team, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Legal Counsel.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\r\n

Functie<\/h4>\n

This is important role within the Allianz Partners Business Unit will be based in Amsterdam, and will include the wider management of the Benelux legal management of external lawyers operating in other countries within the European region.<\/span><\/p>

 <\/span><\/p>

Your responsibilities furthermore include (but are not limited to):<\/span><\/p>

 <\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Operational Leadership: Lead the local legal function, managing the legal team (1p);<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Legal Advisory: Offer legal advice across the insurance and service value chain, supporting key internal stakeholders and negotiations with partners;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Provide strategic legal and governance guidance to Allianz Partners regional and local Executives, ensuring accurate public documentation in trade registers;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Mentor and empower your legal team, fostering a collaborative, environment;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Steer external law firms to control legal expenses;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Contribute to global legal leadership initiatives alongside the Regional Head of EU Markets;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Forge relationships with peers across the Allianz Group and engage in local and regional Allianz Partners projects;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop standard legal documentation, enhance efficiency and manage the Benelux legal team budget.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\r\n

Functie-eisen<\/h4>\n

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>You have a Dutch Masters’ degree in law and 10-15 years PQE;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>In-house corporate experience in commercial contracting is a must;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience within insurance companies is a pre;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledge of the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht, Wft) and related legislation (e.g. BGfo (Decree on Conduct of Business financial organizations), Vrijstellingsregeling Wft (Exemption Regulations pursuant to the Financial Supervision Act)) are a strong pre;<\/span><\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience in litigation (Courts\/Ombudsman), data processing law, corporate governance\/housekeeping, company law\/M&A would be also a pre.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\r\n
